How would you all feel if someone said this to you.
"You're too young to settle for mediocre."

I'm 22 years old and just entered the so-called "real world". I'm learning what works for me, what doesn't, how to be happy, how to grow up, who I can count on and who I am. I am not sure about most things in my life, but I'm attempting to figure it out.

I'd feel like they were right.. but wouldn't know where to find anything else.
I would feel like the person who said it thinks that I have plenty of time to wait for something really good, rather than settling for something not so good. It would make me re-think a choice I had made and question myself.
What's with the cryptic entries? I WANT to know what you're talking about!! As for what someone said to you....
When do we get to the point where we should accept mediocracy? This statement implies that at some point everyone should settle for average and I'm not sure I agree.
Maybe if you provided a little more info we could decipher this a little better!!!
I realize I'm a little late reading this but I would say...just live! One person's mediocrity is a another person's dream :) I would take what they had said with a grain of salt but I would take a step back and look at what was going on in my life. My only question is do you trust this person who said this to you?? Do you value their opinion?? If the answer is no to either question I would think that was a really strange thing to say to someone.
